Meet the Makers
The idea for the fashion library was brought to Circular Triangle by Zeynep (https://zeybry.com/)
Zeynep is a water-marbling artist. She organized water marbling workshops and classes in various places including the Duke Arts Center, NCSU Crafts Center, and Cary Arts Center. She attended several art festivals for water marbling demonstrations including the Raleigh International Festival. She had a chance to share her art in the West Regional Library Showcase and also had a demo with about a hundred residents.
Walamob is a project invested in sustainability and the creative reuse of second-hand objects and textiles. All things are produced with the intention of prolonging the life of the materials used. Through methods of sewing, screenprinting, airbrush, and embroidery, they create unique, one-of-one garments while finding ways to minimize environmental impact.
Hi it’s ZIG !
I am a senior in fashion and textile design at NCSU. I learned to make quilts with my grandfather 10 years ago, and since then have found a passion for apparel design. When I was little I knew I wanted to use my skills for good, so I created my brand named ZIG, after my lifelong nickname. ZIG is a sustainable clothing and accessory brand where everything is made from secondhand materials promoting slow fashion! I take worn out materials such as thrifted linens and existing clothes and transform them into new, wearable and one-of-a-kind designs!
