Redress Raleigh has a treasure trove of sustainable fashion related resources on their website.

From Sustainable BIPOC and LGBTQ brands to information on what sustainability means in fashion, they are a great place to check out.


Volunteer opportunities:

Towards Zero Waste out of Raleigh has a great maker’s group for those interested in learning to sew (beginner friendly!) They make reusable bags to supply farmer’s markets.

Don’t Waste Durham has a Boomerang Bag program - they accept t-shirts and you can volunteer to help make reusable bags to stock community stores!

Donate:

Note in the Pocket out of Raleigh takes school appropriate clothing in all sizes and redistributes it in our communities. They have an incredible sorting setup and thoughtful waste stream. Also a great place to volunteer.

Dress for Success Durham/Raleigh empowers women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.

Thrift:

Scrap Exchange in Durham (a creative reuse center that features local upcycled goods for sale, as well as all the craft supplies you could want!)
